I thought it'd be cool to have a thread where people could find info about the sculptors DC hires for their statues. Many of the sculptors' sites have work-in-progress pictures that give insight into their processes.

Another forum member and I were discussing how artists' personalities and real lives manifest themselves in their creative work. With statues, certain patterns emerge, especially when individuals work on an entire statue line. In the recently released book The Art of DC Comics Bombshells, Ant Lucia basically admitted that he uses his wife's face as the basis for drawing women. I imagine that's true of many other drawers/sculptors as well. Indeed, it even appears that sculptor Karen Palinko uses her own face for her statues.

Man, Jonathan Matthews went bonkers, he sculpted the new Designer Superman, Designer Wonder Woman #2 (Frank Cho), B&W Amanda Conner, B&W HQ Amanda Conner, and his own B&W!

If you look at his personal website, he's made a lot of fan-favorite statues as well. Props to him!
