Have the Jawas shipped?

Okay.. so I contacted GG today...

They told me they have no record of me ordering anything through them, even when I clearly remember pre-ordering the Jawas, and the credit card company I ordered them through (USAA, one of the best) says I did in fact place an order with them. I told Gentle Giant I would have my cc company deal with them/contact them on the matter, or I'd simply cancel the payment, whatever... grr.. frustrating. First and last time I'm dealing with GG.

Why deal with them a-holes while you have all the LCS around you, how good can their discount be and does that really worth all the hassle?

Unless its a product exclusive to their website I never buy from GG direct. Their CS is pretty much non-existent.

Unfortunately, comic stores in the part of Oregon I'm in are lackluster at best. Horrible service and lay-out at the "main store" here in town, but their sister store is okay.. although it's predominantly statues (which is awesome, I admit). Not sure Gentle Giant is there, but I can swing by and check it out when I get home.

I always support lcs, but here in Eugene, the two we have are horrible. Put it this way, the OWNER always has anime porn he's watching playing on a tv that's fully visible throughout most of the store...right next to a Richie Rich/Pokemon display, etc (thus, kids have it right in their faces)... that's just one reason not to go in out of many.

Sigh.. so yeah... I'll check the smaller sister store, or start occasionally frequenting Portland/Seattle stores when I'm up in this area.

I picked up my Jawas last week. One of the guns does not stay in at all and the other fits perfect. Oh well.
