My own R2D2 bust... (photo with Luke and 3PO)
Since I bought the C-3PO bust I thought it was nice to have a R2 next to it in the same style. Sorry for the bad picture though...
What do you guys think?

Looks cool but I think it should have about half of the body to go with it.

That was my first idea too, but then it looked to big with 3PO, and R2 looks like this when it's in a star fighter...

True but the definition of a bust is showing the chest or shoulders up to the head of the figure. Not just the head.
Still looks good though but I'm sure it'd be easy enough to add a bit more below the dome.

Photo update, brighter colours;
I will post a photo with the 3PO bust this week, so you can see that this is the best way (atleast I think it is) to show of R2 in a bust.

I don't think there will ever be an artoo bust - at least not a good one. it will be too hard to pull off because of the size issue

I also think it would benefit buy having a bit of body showing (just my opinion), nice work though.

have to disagree with you. You can't have a "bust" with just the head.
People complained about the crumb bust - cos it was not technically a bust, but what could you do?!
It would be better if there was never an official artoo bust
