Repaired my Maggie (she arrived with her hand snapped off). Gentle Giant offered two options:

1. Destroy the statue (which seems a shame) and they would send a replacement (I’d have to pay the usual import charge).

2. Repair the statue, and I would receive a refund (how much was not mentioned).

Gentle Giant’s customer service is super slow, to say the least.

As I discovered, poly-stone is not so easy to glue. First I tried Super glue (the gel type) as someone on this forum mentioned in another thread using Super glue. Super glue fails to glue poly-stone. Araldite seemed the next best choice, so I tried rapid setting araldite which worked.

Before joining the hand to the arm, I spent a fair amount of time studying various photo’s making sure I got the position correct. Guess I was lucky, as the arm slots into the scarf around the hand, thus hiding any form of join. The only fault that remains, is a small piece of scarf that broke off in transit.

Here’s some snap-shots of my Maggie. She looks great. I’ve gotten used to the skin tone.

Last couple of weeks is been a busy week for Gentle gaint I think with renew everybody's PGM's,and also to provide the orders of the PGM's from last year.
Never enless I always got answer within 2 days.
But maybe that is because I had a simple question...

But you didn't go for any option then?
They could ship it as a replacement!!!

Congratulation's Gentle Giant!

Ingore the color, as Photoshop desaturated the images a little during resizing. Quite why I don't know?

Compared to my other five 1:4 statues, Derby is probably the best, or on par with Ms.Marvel

More Derby photo's here:

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Thanks.

I looked closely at the Scout helmets from the Kotobukiya statue, Sideshow 1/6 figure and the GG v1. Scout bust. And the cool thing is that the GG Scout is the most accurate by far, they really nailed the sculpt, the same way they did back then with the original Stormtrooper mini-bust which even today has one of the most accurate scaled Stormtrooper helmets. Seems the new Scout with rifle is less accurate than the old one as well, but that is understandable, being inspired by a game.
