Rise of the Guardians 6/10
It was better than I thought it'd be. The story was engaging. The animation was below par though, especially the kids' faces. The Easter Bunny with the Australian accent was silly though. He predates Australia, let alone our accent, so why would he have an Australian accent? Not to mention they're an introduced species. Was it simply for the kanagaroo joke?

Watched this with a friend (first time for her) a couple'a nights ago, and she found it interesting and poked around a bit, and found this following our discussion... http://screenrant.com/sucker-punch-s...n-benk-107573/
I forgot that the "dancing" was physical/sexual abuse the orderlies were inflicting on her to distract them while the girls gathered the items (that part I knew, but I thought she "tuned out" and actually danced for them, and her asylum persona was just along for the ride.. not that the dancing was actually molestations happening to her in the asylum); that movie gets darker by the day. I've watched the film in its entirety three times now... I still think it tries too hard, but it's not as bad as say... "the human centipede", either. lol

Pitch Black - 7/10
This film isn't without it's flaws. There are some annoying characters that drag it down a bit. The character of Riddick is so rich though, and Diesel owns the role. Cole Hauser's portrayal of mercenary Johns is pretty great too. Unlike a lot of people who prefer Pitch Black I actually prefer the sequel but regardless, I enjoy both and am looking forward to "Riddick" finally arriving this year.

Diesel, my boy Hauser, and Radha Mitchell delivered in that.
Still need to get part 2 on BD; only seen it a couple of times, so it hasn't worn its welcome yet. I don't remember it well enough to say whether or not I like it.

There aren't many people I know who actually enjoyed the Riddick sequel. Good to see I'm not alone.

I loved Riddick so much, I wasn't "skittish" about buying the DVD!

Silent Hill Revelation 6/10 So much untapped/unreached potenial. Fell asleep about halfway through so a 6 might be generous. May possibly revisit watching it as I'm a fan of their concepts.
