Authentic or Bootleg?

Hey, I mostly lurk here, but I was wondering if you guys could help me out with something. There's someone in my area who is selling the Venom Unbound Fine Art Statue for a very good price. I'm interested in it, but I suspect that the statue may be a bootleg. Can any of you confirm my suspicions by looking at the pictures below? It's really the gray paint in Venom's right eye that's setting off alarm bells for me. The base doesn't look quite right either, though that might just be due to the image quality. Thanks in advance for the help.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Unfortunately, I've seen some very convincing fake Kotobukiya boxes with my own two eyes. I've even held some. They're out there.

It's probably real, though I'd ask the seller for a better version of the second pic that isn't blurry and washed out by flash. Having said that, even real Koto pieces have been known to have sloppy paint or glue app.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, guys. I went to see the statue for myself, and despite the bad pictures, the price being too good to be true, and some other sketchy stuff, it ended up being authentic. I'm happy to report that Venom now resides in my man cave.

I've been keeping up with Koto fine art pieces for almost 10 years now, but I've never seen a Nova fine art statue? Is this legit or bootleg??

It's legit. There was a NOVA Fine Art statue from Kotobukiya
