Where to get a Wii???

I've been on the hunt for a Nintendo Wii now since they've been out. It never fails. Some buttmunch has bought two of them, and is walking out the door, or I miss the shipment entirely. I have no desire to hit E-bay, and have even less of a desire to sit in line for hours in the cold in front of a store for one.

So, anyone got any clues on where to get one without having to backorder the damned things?

You should have checked my threads earlier last week Tommy! And this wouldn't have happened! One of the biggest shipments of the season went out last weekend, with Toys R Us getting a ton, as well as DSs since they're selling out too. If I hear anything I'll let you know, but as of right now, it's all about just going in and checking.

On a side note, WiiPlay has sold out in most areas as well! The game that came with an extra controller is going to be hard to find as much as regular controller! Go out and look for one!

Try signing up here, I used it to find the Wii. I found a Wii at a Target the next day when it said they had them in stock. I didn't even use the text messaging updates.

they don't have any ship dates at this point the best way to get one is to call around the stores on sundays

I love the fact that I can walk into any store right now and pick up a 60gb
PS3 but its still impossible to find a Wii. The Wii is definitely a hit!

Haha you know I actually considered getting a PS3 this week, cause I couldn't find The Departed on HD but they had it on BLu Ray so I was like..."well they do have a bunch of PS3s..."

One of our local game stores has a deal where you bring in your PS2, with two working controllers and you get $100.00 off a PS3.

I'm still holding out hope for a Wii. I sent an e-mail to Nintendo's customer service.

From what I've seen, Nintendo's been fairly good about shipping them out on a regular basis. We get decent shipments periodically, but it never fails, they disappear in an instant.

Keep an eye on circulars, if they advertise the Wii, most retailers have a dedicated supply specifically for the circulars. So show up early on the first day from the circular.
