Hi all this is a Faux Bronze venom statue that I recently repainted.
Sometimes the FB look really works....sometimes, not so much. I wasn't a huge fan of this particular one, so i figured "Why not? How much trouble could it be?" lol Well, as it turns out, this one was more that I bargained for! The pallet used was simple, but the angles and masking were anything but! Everything worked out pretty well, but is was definitely a headache at times!
Also there was the little matter of making a tongue, for the FB doesn't have one. That's probably the part I'm most proud of! lol It turned out pretty nasty! A few teeth were also added because my tongue placement is different that the factories.
I like the highlights throughout the blacks with the blues. I also really line the paint apps on the head and the sculpt of the tongue. Very nice job.
I appreciate it. The shading comes off more as lighting in the pictures, and I wasn't sure if it was even noticable. Glad you could tell! I tend to make my shading subtle, so capturing in in photos is difficult for me and my photography skill set. But that's another issue entirely!
