Alpha Flight BD vs. Alpha Flight DST

Same teams. Same costume era. Maybe even the same scale (I'm not sure). I think this one's gonna shape up to be the first ever mano a mano in the same sandbox at roughtly the same time.

In the red Corner... Bowen Designs
Vindicator - already on the shelf and climbing in the secondary market
Sasquatch - up for pre-order
Puck - rumored or confirmed, I don't know which
The remaining lineup- rumored for P3 -- time frame unknown

In the blue corner ... Diamond Select
Sasquatch -- up for pre-order, and he has arms (but bald hands )
Snowbird -- shown at the conventions, and looking good from the pix
The remaining lineup -- unknown, but one would think they're coming as well

Questions
Do you think both companies will complete the teams, or will one throw in the towel?
Which series is going to look best?
Are you backing BD, DST, or both?
Other thoughts?

I predict neither company will complete the line (unfortunately!). Bowens Vindicator is awesome, I'd take Bowens Squatch over the other bad base and all....Snowbird by DST looked GREAT IMO...Puck is Puck...the Canadian Bucky!

To complete the Flight we need Northstar, Aurora, and Shaman for sure.....Arguably we need Marina to complete the Team in AF#1....Next wave would need Talisman (bust worthy), and Box ( NOT bust worthy) and perhaps Guardian ( IMO NOT bust worthy).

I dont see ONE company making all of those!

Completing Inhumans in P2 was bad enough IMO.
BD ought to spread Alpha Flight over 2 or more Phases.

Same here....The team that was in issue #1 of Alpha Flight. That's the one I want as well. And, I'll be getting the Bowen line, but I just wish the BD Sasquatch had arms! Other than that though, the actual sculpt looks far superior to my eye than what I've seen of the DST Sasquatch, even with the ugly base...

Good question and hard answer...

I plan on waiting to see which ones I like best then I'll pick my faves no matter the maker. Scale is the only flaw in my plan...except Sasquatch who shouldn't matter.

Your kidding right ... that Snowbird looked BLOODY AWFUL! It looked nothing like a Byrne drawing, and what was with that bent head piece ... that NEVER happened in any AF book, not even Snowblind.

I'm not going to say which line I like better but I hope that Byrne's original team get finished. I liked them better than the Inhumans anyday!

There are 3 female busts needed to complete the team, 2 minimum. With BD's sexy discrimination policy we'll be lucky to see them completed. ;-)

I like DST's sasquatch over BD by a wide margin. But I stil ain't gonna buy either one of these any time soon.
