Thanks for the honest and informative review of this impressive statue. It may not be as mindblowing as the 2005 Dr. Doom PF but I agree this is a solid and righteous pioece nevertheless in its very own right.

Good stuff!

Excellent review. I enjoyed how honest you were too and I agree with what you said. It's a good piece, but not all that impressive looking and those hoping it would finally outclass the classic 1/4 Doom will probably be disappointed.

Had this one came out ten years ago it probably would have been more memorable, but as it stands it looks a bit plain and a bit dated. It doesn't help that this exact style of pose has become the norm for Sideshow.

I am definitely not a Doom fN but I have to say, that is a sharp piece. I really like the fabric elements. Classic mask looks the best and feels cohesive with the rest of the piece.

Thanks for a fantastic review. Although I don't own this yet, I already thought this was a better DOOM representation than the first one on the throne. While I agree it doesn't have the same details on the base as the first one....the pose is much more exciting and befitting of DOOM.

How does it look next to the XM Wolverine or Black Widow per se? Does it seem to fit in...or does it need to stick with other SS Marvel statues?

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Nice review, but I disagree with the area of the posable cape and losing points. To me it's much more fun to be able to do that and I would actually add points for these. To me the cape is beautifully done.

I agree. However, I prefer a much simpler assembly. And, from the many pics we've seen of this piece so far, it would appear many people have had a really hard time posing that cape. Sure, given some time and determination, it could look really good, but it's a shame SS didn't produce something which could be more easily posed.

Uhhhh....yeah this cape is killing me. I now understand what you were talking about. It does look great but I have been at this a while now and still can't put the cape on right. Using your pics as guide. Thanks by the way.
