Back to these tubes and rolled products
Okay - if I understand this, these paper products start their life flat, are then rolled for shipping. and the consumer then tries to flatten them. That leads me to the question: Why are they rolled in the first place. The saving on shipping can't be that big of a factor. Did Mondo inherit thousands of these cardboard tubes?

I'd guess that it's because if they are shipped flat, there's probably a greater likelihood of getting damaged.

Shipping these flat would be a nightmare, serious damage would occur and the shipping costs would be much higher.

Simply, it is far easier to ship posters rolled.

I'd think it's due to shipping costs, as well.

Shipping costs are cheaper AND possible damage is reduced greatly
when shipped rolled!

Just a shot in the dark … but I am going to say it is due to shipping. Call it a hunch, but I think I am onto something here.

comic art costing tens if not hundreds of times as much are shipped flat. I would estimate the odds on damage are probably equal to someone rolling and unrolling these
