Camera is half of the fight with Nameless, unless you are alright with free cam.

That is true, after dying what seems like a million times I figured it out haha. But I loved the Abyss Watchers and Twin Princes, really enjoyed those battles.

My only gripe with 3 was the overabundance of fan service. A nod here and there is awesome, but reusing entire levels and NPCs was a tad too much. I felt that it was too forced, especially by the time I hit Anor Londo.

Nameless King is indeed an epic fight, he really should have been the final boss as the other pales in comparison in both challenge and appearance.

If any of you want to watch speed souls runs. I am not sure on his schedule...a while ago he was doing it every day...but you can watch Distortion2 on Twitch.

https://www.twitch.tv/distortion2/profile

Just a link to the twitch profile. But if he is on, it should show as a live stream.
Even the profile page will show his recorded (previous) streams. So you can still watch right now, just not live.

Think the current world records are both held by him. All Bosses, 1 hour 4 minutes and Any Bosses runs, 50 minutes.
Unless he has made them faster.

As someone how spent 3 minutes in Demon Souls...and about a total of 30 between Ds1, 2, and BB..watching him taught me a lot about DS.

Now I am on NG +4.

And to state the obvious, if you dont want any spoilers, dont watch him. You will see the whole game in a hour.

After finishing Uncharted 4 I decided to play this game and what a disappointment. Very nice background graphics but the character and how it moves reminds me of previous gen. I am playing as a Sorcerer and what a weak character. At the first boss fight all it takes is 2 hits and you're dead. The idea of losing endurance as you keep running and fighting is a good idea but with the Sorcerer the endurance bar drains quickly.

I doubt I will give this game any more of my time.

Pure Sorcerer builds aren't good until about 3/4 through the game, same with Faith. You are better off starting as a strong physical character with high Dex or Strength and building Intelligence off that.

I suppose they were trying to make casters weaker for early game since you can 2 to 3 shot the first couple of bosses in previous Souls games.

EDIT:

lolz

Well, the Souls/BloodBorne games aren't for everyone.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of doing that, changing my character and since I am at the beginning of the game it won't matter if I start over.

You're right. I didn't like Bloodborne but I thought I would give it a chance since a friend was raving about it. Also, it only cost me $35 new so was willing to give it a try.

The game barely tells you anything and can exceptionally brutal. This in a way makes it that much more gratifying once you complete/beat something.

Just in comparison, I just got done with Uncharted. While it looked great and was technically well done...I could not help but feel I was just running down a pretty path. Nothing challenging other than too many enemies VS not enough ammo.

In DS, they dont even tell you the path of the game. There are several branches/deadends to where you can beat the game and still miss like 40%.
Every enemy is like a boss, small guys on the way to the boss are just minibosses. Anything can kill you easily. Key is just waiting and pattern recognition.

Also, unlike other games that can have very basic or generic hitboxes...if I am infront at X time, I get hit...this game does not. Timing and weapon movement and enemy/yourself placement all add up to a hit or a miss. DS community even have a thing for it, called HitBox Porn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-gRtIbllw0 or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cF-NgCrcQs So like the first boss for example...I assume the tutorial boss you are referring to...the guy hunched over that you pull the sword out. You can side step him easier to your right rather than your left, as he swing from his right. When he transforms, he usually does a big opening swipe...forget which arm, but just strafe to the opposite side of said arm. Again just back to timing and recognizing the patterns.

And yea, supposedly Magic suck for like the first half of the game.
