Good lord, my fellow collectors. I saw the pictures. I heard tales of the righteousness and grandness of scale. I thought I understood. I did not. I opened up the smaller box first, thinking this has to be the base. Nope. It was Guts and all his parts. I opened up the larger box to find literally the largest base I have ever seen on a statue. Heaviest too. The base alone is as heavy as the vast majority of PF's and similar scale statues with base and figure combined. I put it together wondering what sort of shelf does one need to prevent it from smashing though and shattering on the ground? Certainly, one forged by Dwarven blacksmiths. After somewhat regaining my composure over the shear mass of the base, I assembled the figure and was again blown away by the true awesomeness of the piece. Guts is perfect. I like all the heads, but am starting with a chilled Guts with sword in the downward position. I don't see any paint flaws so far, but will take a closer look in the light of day today. This is in the top 5 of statues I have ever owned. Maybe even top 3. To me, a perfect representation of this vicious hero. I never need another Guts statue. Ever.

That's the kind of review I like to read.
Except that last part. More Guts is always welcome.

That was fun to read! It possibly being a top-three statue all-time for Barb is some high praise - I look forward to seeing everyone’s pics and to eventually opening and setting mine up!

On sideshow, but damn thank you, you put my mind at ease, i thought that the taxes would be much more. ( But yeah 435 is almost half the prize of guts, my first and last statue)
