It's sadly hilarious, they went through all that trouble of making a painted proto, only to pull it within 48 hours of being shown.

That’s one way to look at it, I’d say it’s a sign of a very respectable company who very clearly care what their customers think.

Sure, but there's a self-interested business consideration behind that -- they know it won't sell well given the immediate reactions. Still, didn't anyone on the design or production teams say, "Wait a minute?"

Wait, I don’t get it..are you judging them for listen to fans and not putting out a bad product that wouldn’t sell well?
Putting something good out is a self interested business consideration just as much as releasing something bad or doing anything at all. It’s a business..

No, I'm judging the design and production teams.

This sounds to me that they are dropping the Nightwing statue from the line...This is a horrible news. I was really looking forward to a big scale comic nightwing statue too....

It's worse. They just posted this on Facebook:
"Prime 1 Studio We decide to close this post as we mentioned the project is cancel we will not pursue any further development. Thank you for understanding."

God I am so pissed! It sucks being a Nightwing fan.
First, they came up with this lazy design they seem to put no effort in and now they cancel a Nightwing statue completely? They might as well completely model him based on Jim Lee’ s art like BW DC collectible. The quality was completely and noticeably different from the other statues from the line.
