Need some advice. After my waitlist converted I went ahead and made the purchase. I live in Canada (Toronto) and on my file had requested that Sideshow continue to use FedEx for shipping instead of DHL. I got an e-mail after ordering saying that the shipping quote on my order was for their "preferred carrier" DHL and that the shipping cost for FedEx is more and if I want to still use FedEx they will charge me the difference. Or I can switch to DHL shipping and keep the original quote. The original cost was $64.93 USD with DHL and the FedEx cost they are giving me is $98.76 USD. That is about $34 USD difference or about $45 CAN. I had told them to keep FedEx shipping since I had read poor things about DHL. What do you think I should do? Also, if any Canadian collector that has already gotten their Green Arrow statue from Sideshow can give their input as far as what their shipping was that would be great as well. Thanks.

Go with the cheaper option. I use FedEx and DHL regularly and never had an issue.

I live in Toronto too. I never had problem with DHL. It’s faster and have much more flexibility than Fedex and UPS. But then again, I don’t know much recent things about Fedex because I rarely get packages from them. I got charged 160 cad from custom and handling for DHL for GA though. Don’t know how much cheaper fedex will be. It might seem like DHL is cheaper right now but you have to see how much Fedex charge on handling fee to really know.

I think DHL is better for international shipping. They use smaller vehicles. They don't scan their packages as delivered like FedEx does sometimes when they take it off their trucks.

I live in Canada and DHL charges a huge amount for customs charges, for Daredevil it was $165 cdn and Rogue was $190 for customs clearance.

I had to have my Green Arrow replaced and the replacement came about two weeks ago. There were some SNUG fits on the new one and many of the arrows were difficult to get into the base. I am getting a new left arm for the replacement statue because the magnet on the current one is incredibly weak. I have the dock post opened up, but that seems to put some pressure on the hinges. Regardless, that's how I want it displayed (with the boxing glove inside). The weight of the statue coupled with how it fits over the waves makes the hinges on the doors a little sketchy. The engineering of the statue might have been done better, but it LOOKS amazing. I love the statue and it's absolutely beautiful.
One weird thing though: The statue is numbered ONE. They added "UM" to the end of the serial number in marker and the statues is number one. It must be 'one' in a replacement line that they created? I know that it takes the place of the one I sent back (which had parts of the base actually broken, so that one will likely get scrapped), so it's not as if it increases the SIZE of the overall line, but it's odd that it's numbered one.
I guess I'm wondering if there are multiple number ones now?
