Phoenix Archer - Wei Ho

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but there are a number of Thai e-bay sellers selling resin kits made from Yamato originals.

In fact, unknowingly I discovered Yamato statues as a result of buying a kit of Luis Royo's 'A Touch of Ice' and realising I had no hope of painting it adequately. It was only then I discovered it was a fraud and I stopped any plans to make it. The sellers 'Dekdoi' and 'ModelKitOnline' seem to have a wide range of these frauds, getting new, popular, Yamato re-moulds as soon as they can.

Since finding this forum, all the new Yamato statues reproduced that I've recognised have been Luis Royo ones.

Until today, that is.
Wei Ho's Phoenix Archer has been given this rather dubious form of recognition.

Don't really know whether to commiserate or congratulate Wei. These fraudsters know their business, their market and only reproduce good stuff. We know Wei's work is good, and it appears they do too. I have not included a link for obvious reasons.

Regards,

Richard.
