I have to say, I'm not really digging these first pictures.

The right lens of the goggles, looks damaged or has glue on it. Or maybe just the photo?

Just to be clear, that's a picture of the prototype. I was using the photo for a comparison, but yeah, it looks like there's something on the goggles.

looks like it's just glare from a light source, you can see it on the left lens also.

Looks too rough to be a glare, it goes into the ridge too. I think it is just glue that squeezed out while they placed the lenses. It doesn't necessarily mean that is how it will be when you get a production piece. It is just the proto.

Have to admit, the eyebrows look very different. Sure the photo on the right might not be the best photo in the world.
Has the image on the right been squashed as the face look thinner. Seeing these two images side by side they don't compare.

We just need Spec Fiction to take pics already and fix any doubt that people are making up in their minds.

People keep saying the photos are rubbish, but who has studio lighting running in their home (24/7)? who lives in a world of perpetual photoshop? Most people will open this statue in flat light, or worse, and this is what they'll see.
Would people rather the first pictures were "touched up" to show you something you won't see on an average day, in an average environment?

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

anytime I take a selfie my forehead looks like a landing strip for mosquitoes (if holding the camera too high) or my chin looks like that of English football hooligan's (if held too low). And I'm rather good looking ;P. Come on guys, anyone that has ANY experience with cameras will tell you that. Relax. Again, ANGLE, LIGHTING.
