I can’t imagine it’ll be that much. Because after John mentioning it on various streams, for it to be that much, there won’t be many willing to outlay that much for a single bust.

yeah the animatronics seem pretty useless but look cool in a show off post

The articulation here is limited to head/neck rotation and inclination.

Unless there is a joystick controller involved, I don't know that you would even need two separate motors for that. Maybe one system of gears in a back and forth cycle.

Maybe I'm wrong in thinking this, but I would worry more about the wear on the silicone in the neck than I would about the electronics. Also, I would think they would need some access to air to keep from potentially overheating, so they may be kept open and accessible from below?

I think they could pull this off for $6-7.5K- if not even less ($5-6K)

Good point about the overheating...

I remember back in the day, most of the really good private artists charged around $5000 just for a silicone head, no bust.

Mass production has driven the price down AND you get all these fancy bases, shoulders, arms and accessories etc.

If this is offered from a company like QS or IS I would guess this thing goes for $10,000.

My guess is that it'll be 1.5 to 2 times their standard bust price. So, maybe somewhere between $6-8K.


Do we know if this comes with one or two animatronic arms? As I'm assuming it'll have to at least have the same functionality as the licensed arm released a couple of years ago.

Probably the same as the Dark Fate T-800, one arm. The price for a bust with one animatronic head and two animatronic arms would likely be prohibitively expensive.

Look at what is being animated on Gorgu.
You have the large movements like the head turn and tilt (which is all this T2 apparently offers), but also micro expressions like the the ears, eyelids, mouth...
There is much more sophisticated control going on there, requiring far more engineering- even in terms of mating the outer form to the mechanics underneath.

T2 looks pretty basic and blunt, in comparison.
