I'm annoyed with GG So-called Customer Service

I'm going to vent a bit. I got the Trinity Motorcycle statue....beautiful statue. There is only one minor flaw on it. There is a bit of paint overspray on Trinity's shoulder. It's the metallic green from the bike. It's just barely noticeable, but it bugs me. So I tried different paints on scrap plastic to get the right color for touchup, but I can't find just the right one.
So I write to GG customer Service to get info on the paint used on Trinity's leather suit. Three weeks later, no response. So I write again, asking again with a copy of my first letter.
So someone writes back...sorry for delay, blahblah. We can't answer your question, because the factory is in China.
That's not much help, so I write back and ask for a contact at the factory. That was three weeks ago. No response.
I'm a customer right, but where's the service???

I didn't buy direct from GG, I bought through a retailer. Also, it would have been too much cost and trouble to ship the whole statue. I don't have any trouble doing the touchup. I'd just like to make sure that before I do it, that I am using the right type and shade of paint. All I'm looking for is a simple answer from GG.

Yeah I know how you feel I had asked on the paint for my Arc trooper maquette because on his arm you see streaks of the white underneath so I wanted to fix it so I asked for the type and color of paint they use and after 4 email i got a response of red paint. So I still need to fix it so I keeped it in box. Sucks cause I want to dosplay it but I dont want to paint it and then that arm is diff from the rest of him,

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

its possible that this is not a easy question for them to answer.it could take quite a while to track down the type(brand and color) of piant used on a particular statue or bust from a particular line,as there are so many produced in the same place, and they most likely were painted a while prior to shipping.its possible that the customer service reps have no idea what is done in china.your best bet would be asking about a replacement statue.

I have to wonder if GG people read this forum. Strangely enough, I got a reply today from GG customer service. Basically they said that they can't give out info on the factories in China.
I guess I can live with that, they obviously have their reasons.
I'll just have to keep testing until I find the right one.

BTW.....I tried to upload a pic, and it wouldn't work. Anyone else having trouble with it?

I think because most of the production process for these pieces happen in China, GG would not have any control or access to specific paint color schemes used. Even Randy Bowen mentioned the same thing when asked about touch-up paint availability.

When I rec'd a Corporal Sandtrooper with a broken finger, they were pretty quick in sending me a replacement arm in the mail at no charge.
