Hope to see some pics of that Kelley Jones soon , you wouldn't happen to know anything about that do you
The Volume 2 HC contains 21 stories all done by different artists , and the cover is by Mike Mignola but he doesn't do a story in it.

I Guess the first one is about the same numbers and has some great pin-up pieces bu Mark Silvestry and Alex Ross.
The Line can go a long way with some real great pieces like Kevin Nowlan ,Frank Miller ,Alex Ross ,Bruce Timm, Jim lee , Richard Corben .. just to name a few and the line is succesfull so I think it will go a long way.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm not familiar with the details of this B/W concept. Dozen..couple of dozen....more?
The first collected volume has 16 different artists, the second volume has 21. These all were short stories that appeared, I believe, as features in Detective Comics. So, there actually are more artists having done B&W Batman stories than just those in these two volumes.

The first volume collects the Batman B&W four issue series. The second volume is the Gotham Knights backups.

Cool. So there is the potential fpr many many statues. It's so cool to see so many different takes on the character. I am blown away by the illusion of 2-D artwork that Matthews nailed on that Mignolia one. Definitely a cool line to be a completist on.
