My mom bought this plant.
Tacca Aameyri.
Does anyone here know how this plant's need to be treated?

I was about to kill a plant at work a few months ago and one of the girls in the office brought in a pot and soil ... saved it from sure death

When in doubt treat it like an orchid.
Then go to a florist and ask them what type of food to feed it (ex: Mircle-Gro for orchids), besides water.

Actually, there's a chance that the nursery mislabeled it. After digging around and around, I finally found this picture (or a pic of a similar plant) here. The plant listed is in the same family, though, which makes me think that the care would be similar.

It's a variation species of the "Black Bat Plant/Flower", also commonly called "Devil Flower" they need to be shaded and have perfect wind protection, no drafts ... they usually bloom 2X a year.
