Yeah, otherwise it would probably say DC comics next to it is my guess. Still, it's kind of strange that they put out images not that long ago saying that they were going to be doing a 1/4 movie superman and now instead it's a 1/3... I was kind of counting on that 1/4 from them but I guess I'll still end up cancelling my Weta pre-order and have to get the 1/3 now.

I 100% canceled this preorder. Wow wut a ball drop here. I agree they didn't have much play to begin with as the proto was barely passable lol. The difference in shape and paint was just too far off with production. Even the suit color changed too much. As a long time collector I know these things happen all the time ut this was just too drastic of a drop for most purchasers. For a thousand bucks a repaint wouldn't even be satisfactory as the shape of the heads got sort of stretched somehow.

It's funny how everything about this piece of s#it went radio silent after the initial pictures. WETA's new pictures that they put out weren't better. Curious to see the pics from the people who kept their orders.

The standard portrait looks better than the first production photos, looking forward to getting mine.

I still don't think the heat vision portrait is displayable.

Well, I'm glad that I cancelled.

The original portrait isn't bad, but it's not Henry Cavill in any way, shape, or form. The proto was off, but the statue looked attractive. The production is further off and Superman no longer looks handsome.

The heat vision portrait is utter garbage and they should be embarrassed. At least the normal portrait is displayable.

The base is--fine. It sort of blends with everything else. The flying effect is done well.

It sucks that Iron Studios has one coming out--but it's even more money with an even worse base than this, because, at the very least, it bears more of a resemblance to Cavill.

Just a reminder, this is what the proto/pre-sale pics looked like.

Once again, it's a little off from Cavill--but the expression and the overall look of the portrait is pretty good. Also, the skin is more lifelike and the portrait is a little more full. Granted, proto vs. production is always going to have changes--but I still submit that these changes were far worse than I've seen in other statues.

Thankfully, I was able to get my deposit back. The seller had me just direct the funds to something currently being sold. I ended up buying XM's 1:6 Bizarro. I regret nothing.

I suggest you see it in person to see the actual sculpt - I don't think my photos does it justice at all.

I think the body and cape sculpt/texturing is fantastic - the back of the cape looks like fabric.

Overall I'm very happy to add him to my collection
