They'd be crazy not to keep Jenkins. She fought to keep the the No Man's Land scene which ended up being the best scene in the film, so she has good vision. She get's the character and can show her as relatable both in action and emotion.

The costume looks more like what Colleen Atwood did for TV Supergirl than the overly-fussy stuff created for Zack Snyder's movies.
