But the from toyfair is a bit weird. Maybe just a bad angle, but I dont really like the position of spidey on the base. Like he need to face down a little bit more or something.

The unpainted one is like he's swinging and jumping forward.
But with painted one is like he's falling........

But clearly, this is the most acrobatic spidey that anyone every sculpted.
Really great job Z.
Thanks man, actually the posed him wrong, he is indeed supposed to be leaning forward more, as though he is swining, as he is right now, looks like he is taking the faternoon tea, and reading the paper lol.
The web on his right wrist is also supposed to be angle higher, but I will fix this for the actual product notes when they ship it back.

Then its a sure thing for me. I'll definitely grab this one.
Its a really complex pose. And for you to actually pick spidey's pose where he stop for a split second in the air is just amazing.
I dont think anyone can actually came up with this.

Will black come soon after red and blue? =P

I am taking the liberty of showing images as he was intended to look.
Please understand the Toyfare prototype webbing probably broke off , and they did their best to fix it, and not knowing exactly how it went it doesn't reflect what I intended . **NOTE** the original pose will be more similar to the unpainted images, leaning forward a bit more.

I told Koto the black should get done, again I don't dictate that anymore, I just do design/sculpting/painting for Koto, hopefully they will realize the potential for a black spidey!

Looks way better. But I do think he will looks better if u turn him down a bit more. (about 15-20° down maybe)
At the moment, the angle is good if u look him from above.
But I dont usually see my figures from that angle.
I think most of the time is from eye level or below.

Oh did they took out your sculpted signature from the statue?
I think its pretty cool to have u name sculpted on it.

Hi Eric.

I like the style/artistic interpretation on your Spiderman more than any of the Sideshow versions.

When it comes to pose I like the Sideshow 1:4 statue more, the fully sculpted version. But the pose on this one is a very lose 2nd.

But style/artistic interpretaion this one is the best. The mask on your Spiderman is more comic book accurate, Romita and Frank Miller inspired I would say.

Sideshow's version I have no idea what artist was the inspiration for that one.

That's why I like yours best. There is some actual comic book resemblense in your Spiderman statue.

thanks.
i know this is probably too late for this, but my opinion is that you could probably angle him down even further still. like angle his body so his head is closer to the ground, but then his hand would probably need to angle up to counter balance it, if that makes any sense.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...diorama05.jpg/

like angle him clockwise so he's leaning more into the swing......

I REALLY want to like this more than i do. it's a great sculpt, and the pose is iconic, and looks really good in the unpainted pics. but something about the angles just arent working for me. even in the adjusted pics.

also, thats a bit worriesome that it broke off for the show......that doesnt bode well for all of us buying 'em.

sorry, but im pretty torn on this one. but quality work nonetheless.

Remember this is a prototype, when I said "broke" I mean the webbing probably broke off as it is a separate piece, this thing will be sturdy.
I hear you about the angle, and once I get it, I will angle him a bit more like in the "unpainted images" I think even the painter did not angle him enough.
Thank you for your input

Amazingly dynamic! Would love to see it next to some museum posed Kotos to further gauge how it would look displayed in my collection
