First picture is mine-the rest are from a review another guy did that are way clearer than what I could produce with my cell phone.

Not as bad as the styrofoam Sideshow packs its statues in, but it's pretty much the same material Hot Toys has packed some of its pieces in instead of the plastic inserts.

That is a pretty ridiculous product. $25 would almost be too much to spend. IMHO they should have worked these into the packaging for the actual dolls so that you got an armory display stand as part of the cost for the piece. HT's are overpriced as it is, so the least they could do is enhance the value to the customer.

I like that idea-including the hall of armor as part of the packaging. Would make a decent enough extra-though HT would still probably charge an extra $70 for it. It is a "movie-accurate collectible is highly detailed and crafted" after all.

Sideshow still hasn't updated the description on their site despite their customer service rep saying the problem with material would be sent along to the team in charge of maintaining the site. Wonder how many more people are going to be sucked in by this crap? Wonder how many returns they're going to get on this!

I could tell it was styrofoam from the pics on their site. I'm sorry you didn't notice in time, I did and kept my outrage strictly that of a "why would I buy that" type.

wow I actually find that quite disgusting they would charge so much for such a cheap product. It would've been cool if that would've been the packaging for each iron man figure. Pure greed

Yeah, I'm going to make a point of looking really hard at all future pictures from now on. From the pictures on their site I took it to be concrete textured plastic. I could have lived with that.
Wonder how long before it goes on sale and double rewards? Still won't buy it. I figure I can get sections of 6 inch pipe cut in half and get the same effect with some painting for about 1/10 the cost.
