I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Ordered the blue version. I was on the fence with this until I saw the blue. This is literally the perfect 1/4 Batman I've been waiting for. End of discussion. Mods, close this thread... oh, wait....

I strongly dislike the way that they are handling these customization options.

Most of the options are quite expensive, and they only provide a couple of low res images for the customization options.

A gold-plated utility belt sounds awesome, but if you look at their full-statue image, the gold is highly distracting. This piece has a dark color palette, and any relatively bright add-ons are going to clash with the rest of the piece. It is unclear if they photoshopped the image to make the gold stand out more, but if the colors are accurate, the gold-plated color pops out way too much. The same goes for the gold-plated Wayne emblem. I find myself staring at the gold belt and emblem instead of the full composition of young Bruce and Batman.

The roses with pocket watch base sounds like it would add a story-telling element, but since young Bruce needs to be displayed separately, it defeats the purpose of the piece IMO. It is the same as separating Bruce Banner from Hulk in the XM Transformation piece. It seems like the roses were not intended to be displayed with Batman and young Bruce on the same base.

From their photos, it is incredibly hard to see any difference between the standard and real pearl options.

Since the piece deals with dark story-telling, I prefer the black suit. I also prefer the overall look of the black suit. However, the blue suit option is good for fans that always preferred blue suit Batman.

This company should have provided a more detailed video to showcase the customization possibilities.

In short, most of these customization options seem to work against the piece. They are asking for a lot of additional money (for a 1/4 piece that is already expensive) for options that could worsen the statue.

All great points. And for the price, the Bruce base should've been included IMO.

This statue looks like the definitive Batman I have ever seen (and theres been alot of Batman statues already). Just a museum pose but flow of that cape adds alot and how he holds it is very in his character.

Yeah its overpriced (no question about that), for the base price, some of the add-ons should already be included. I'm sure this will sell out fast anyway especially when more actual videos of the statue show up this weekend in SG comicon.
