The Insult (2017) - After an emotional exchange between a Lebanese Christian and a Palestinian refugee escalates, the men end up in a court case that gets national attention.
Some of the courtroom parts seemed contrived, but otherwise a powerful, riveting film. 8/10

In fact, most of the bluray transfers that aren't in 3D have grainy, low res quality that is really noticeable.

Strong Island (2017) - A documentary examining the violent death of the filmmaker's brother and the judicial system that allowed his killer to go free.
Documentaries comprised primarily of talking heads can be a bit weary for me, but this was a moving tribute to a tragic crime victim. 7/10

Life 7/10
"Alien" meets "Gravity". Fun enough, if not predictable and unoriginal.

Only the Brave - 7/10
Powerful adaptation of the heroic true life events following a team of elite “Hotshot” wildland firefighters. I didn’t know the story of this group going in and found it to be a moving tribute to the sacrifice and dedication of this brotherhood. Amazing performances and a respectfully executed production all the way around.

Hostiles 5/10
Really disappointed. I had heard this was so awesome and the best Western in 25 years. I sure didn't think so.

Black Panther - 7/10
Solid entry into the MCU. Chadwick Boseman is amazing in the title role but unfortunately T’Challa felt relegated to more of a supporting player in his own film. Killmomger was a better than average MCU villain and Michael B. Jordan was great despite the character still feeling underdeveloped. Narrative was pretty standard MCU fare but the setting and characters felt very fresh. Disappointed at the lack of a Cap cameo given the interesting dynamic between the two characters in Civil War and the fact that the last time we saw him he was residing in Wakanda. Action scenes felt a bit too tight with an over reliance on CGI but the pace was fast enough it was a minor gripe.

He was there only briefly to drop off Bucky in T'Challa's care. In the prelude to Infinity War comics, you see that he, Falcon, and Black Widow are fighting terrorists in the Middle East.
