Here is how we got to the dance on our Breakout.

Many hours of sculpting, notes from Glen and direct overlays to the film, it's the only way to be certain.

Paul

Direct overlays making sure every wrinkle, fold and texture were in the right place.

One of her legs is really broken in this scene and we worked with ILM to make it more convincing than the actual CGI.

We wish we had a wire frame posable model. But it just doesn't exist anymore and certainly not for licensees.

Sorry Dinos, no assets exist, I stand by it.

If you can prove otherwise, let's see it.

Now let's be fair, I never said it was a bad sculpt. In fact, I believe early on I said I was blown away by it (or something to that effect, if anybody cares to dig up my original comments). I have, and always have, had a problem with Chronicle's final paint aps. Their sculpts have always been top notch. BUT, I did show you that there's referenceable assets available. Whether or not you believe they're useable is your business, not mine. I'm not the one trying to sculpt from them. However, to claim that there was nothing available before you came along is erroneous. There was plenty of reference material available. You said, and I quote:
Quote:
When we created the Breakout there are no assets from JP, period. So anyone saying they have anything from ILM regarding the first film isn't quite telling the whole story.
You never said useable files. You never said that they had to be from ILM direct. You said "assets from JP, period." Truth be told, this is all very petty. We're arguing semantics here, over a JP T. rex statue.

No you haven't, you have not shown one usable asset, maybe 25 years ago, but not today.

Besides if they aren't available to licensees then there are no useable assets.

On top of that if a company had these so called usable assets their rex would be spot on perfect in your world.

I'm done arguing I've proved my point, there are no useable assets, period!

Although we did donate files to Fallen Kingdom, which is pretty cool.

The goal post has been moved so far back, I don't think it's even in the stadium anymore.

Are you quite done?

No I wasn't, I've gotten the Rex out of my system with the Breakout and a 7' Winston Rex, if you find some useable ILM assets from JP, let me know.

Little more on our process....

Dean Tolliver did an amazing job with the Rex. I had the pleasure of sculpting the base and fence. Old school mixed with new school.
