Statue repair - Ms. Marvel Premium Format
Hi. I've searched to try and find the right forum for this question, and I saw results for this forum asking about statue repair. If this is the wrong forum, mods please do feel free to move it.
Anyway, I have a Sideshow Ms. Marvel Premium Format statue that's slightly damaged. The lightning emblem on her chest has two cracks (see link for photo). For anyone that doesn't have the statue, the material of the emblem feels similar to what you'd find on fabric with artwork and lettering. It's smooth and slightly raised.
I'd like to have this fixed if possible. Anyone know of anyone that can?
Thanks guys (and gals).

No idea how to repair it, best of luck with the task. Just came in to say you got a great piece regardless of the bolt issue. Such a pretty statue!

Good luck with the repair! I just got a brief chuckle when I opened the picture, which took up my entire screen of Ms. Marvel's knockers.

that's 80% of what makes it a great statue. if you do the math that's 40% for each knocker.

i can think of a repair for that but it is in theory and i don't advise doing it especially if you have no experience with airbrushing, different paints and behavior, and model making/statue custom work because you will most likely f**k it up even more and end up further lowering the value of your statue.
if you think about it...it is better to forget fixing that and just send it out to be resculpted because if you can even repair those cracks the same problem will occur in the future and you will just be going in circles fixing more cracks. the fabric and bolt are bound to give with time...especially if the statue is displayed.
you can also just sell that off and use the money to buy a new one.

Try this

I think you can use acrylic paint also to repair the cracks

Fabric paints might be a solution but it would be difficult to to match the color. You may have to mask and repaint the entire logo.
A cosmetic fix is using adhesive vinyl. You can get sheets of adhesive vinyl at your local crafts store. Use masking tape (light tack) over the symbol trace the shape to make a pattern. Transfer the masking tape to the vinyl sheet and cut out the symbol using sharp scissors or exacto with straight edge. You may want to slightly over-size the replacement logo to cover old logo entirely.

Damn ...thats a tough break.
I'd try the adhesive vinyl first ...like jedi_don suggested. However, there's no telling how long that'll last tho ...it might peel especially on the pointed part of the logo where there's less adhesive. Might be worth the try, tho.
And if that fails, then I'd try converting to fully sculpted at that point.
