Smile Advice for the Newbie

Hi Guys!

My first ever post on the forum, just wanted some advice. I've recently started collecting statues, I currently have 5, 2 Assassins Creed ones, 1 GoW and 2 Hellboy statues, one of them being very expensive. Just wanted some advice on a few things:

1) How often do you add to your collection
2) I am in need of a display cabinet, what are the best ones to get?
3) Any good websites/places that you can recommend to purchase statues?

Thanks for the help in advance!

P.S cant post pics of the current collection, at work (obviously working hard)

Hi EP35. I see you're British

1. Buy what you love until you run out of space, then it gets tricky.
2. For a cheap solution try Ikea. Detolf & Besta are great value options.
3. Try Lee & Collectiblesdirect.co.uk Best U K retailer for statues.

1) When I have it in my budget, do not let it get away from you and overspend, it can happen quickly and easily. When I started this year I started looking through people's collections on this site and learning what was out there, then saved searches for them on ebay to be able to keep an eye out for deals.

2) I went with Ikea's IVAR shelving because it is easily expandable and modifiable for different heights.

3) Ebay. And I also use http://www.toytracker.net/weta/index.html for checking prices to check against what ebay shows for the past. Also, keep an eye on here for when people on the forums happen to be parting with pieces from their collections, I have gotten a couple really nice ones from fellow forum members.
