MEGO help!
hey guys. so, I've got an opportunity to buy a collection of MOC 8" MEGO figures. from what i understand, mostly 70's superheroes. do any of you guys know a lot about the MEGO market? its probably been a dozen years since i was involved with any MEGO figures at all. I've been researching and i downloaded a super informational book online by Holcomb. I'm going to look at the figs tomorrow morning, but I'm taking cash as well. before i go any further here, who knows about MEGOs? thanks guys.

Ok, don't ask how much I spent, not telling.
So, rumor has it that this is the 5th Iron Man in existence.

Very cool. I bet those Titans ones are worth a pretty penny. How did you get the lowdown on those?

A friend offered them to me. We've been friends for almost 20 years and they remembered I once tried to do MIB and MOC Megos back in the day. Dude, those TT figs still have the hang tags. Supposedly, the IM could fetch $20k.

I've gotta say. Even as cool and rare as the Iron Man is, the thing that sold me on this collection is how beautiful the boxed figs are. The colors and condition are impeccable. Brand new practically. Boxes have never even been opened. So crazy. Have you ever seen The Toy? There's this scene where Richard Pryor rides this thing called Wonder Wheel in a department store. If you pause it at the right moment, you can clearly see a giant display rack full of WGSH MEGO figures. I've been dreaming of that scene for almost 30 years. When my friend opened these boxes, that's kinda what it was like. I just couldn't believe it. I'm positive my jaw dropped.
