Man, I was right, I predicted that it would be too risky for the studio to make a third.

Production costs rose and profits and ticket sales were down on the second.

I think any studio exec would be nervous about a third.

Now I pray that someone like Nolan will pick it up fresh and start over in a few years like with Batman.

That's too bad. These Marvel films were a little more family oriented. My niece really likes them.

i don't fancy a SS film as the main character would be CGI and that just doesn't do it for me

This "franchise" was poor and third films are usually bad for great franchises. I think it was a smart decision, spend the money on other Marvel characters, hopefully.

I agree completely....

I've said this so many times... how do you get a guy that did Barbershop to work on a scifi movie.... never made sense....

Rise of the SS was a lot better but they had such a huge hole to crawl out of that the franchise was just screwed. In general FOX just screws everything they touch. The only reason the X-Men were able to succeed because they had a great director in Singer.

Jessica Alba was horrible...
the guy who played Mr. Fantastic was horrible
the Thing should have been CGI
& Dr. Doom (the greatest villain of all time) was written horribly


I just hope Marvel picks the right Director for Silver Surfer
