hey on the topic of painting - what type of primer do you like to use? I tried this duplicolor sandable stuff and it seems ok but has a weird finish to it after spraying, like its not very smooth unless you rub it down

I have probably 5-6 different primers I use, tamiya,tamiya fine, duplicolor, krylon, off top of my head it really depends on the job, tamiya is pricey so I only use that if I am trying to maintain details, like faces, I still do pretty well with krylon just have to be careful cuz it can run quickly, but it is the cheapest so I learn to use it more often.

Thanks, been wanting to do it for awhile but had too much else to do.
I still want to add a grenade or two to his belt, and still tempted to do a battle damaged head...but both are low priority.

I converted the Iron Studios Punisher head so it is fitting to the OG OLD (and also did one for the NEW Punisher PF Statue). I decided to do the typical old school skin paintjob and not the skull warpaint. Enjoy the results - and sorry for the too bright pictures... the cabines are quite lighted and I was not in mode to put the statues extra... sorry for that:
