Scored a 360 today

Got the 360, quickcharge kit, extra wireless controller, overpriced wireless network adapter, Gears of war, 3 year warranty and got Madden free! Got it all at 20% off so it wasn't too bad. Got a wireless router at bestbuy. So I was pretty happy until I realized, only moments ago, that I forgot to get the xbox live gold card to play online.

Guess I'll be going back to grab one later.

nice congrats, its a sweet system. i have the core system w. a hd update . i need to get the whole wireless controller setup

Anyone know if the controllers have a charge on them out of the box or do they need to be charged? Thanks and thank you devlinboy. You have anything to keep yours cool?

Bb, the controllers come with batteries and a little casing for them. You only get one battery with the quick charge kit that's a lithium one. I suggest getting another one as they're worth it since they do get drained often.

As for your free month, just start a new Gamertag (you automatically get a Silver membership and can download anything you want, everything BUT play online) and when you do, it will ask you if you want to sign up for a Gold membership. Decline this EVERY time you get asked, and after it's done it will say, "oh hey, you get a free month of Gold." And that's it until it runs out. Then you have to go get one.

I also suggest getting a Gold Live Bundle kit which is around maybe $10 more but you get more stuff like mini games and stuff.

I'm waiting to purchase the Xbox Vision Live Kit off Amazon since it comes with a Webcam, some mini games (UNO is incredibly fun) and Gold membership. Worth the price.

well... my skills have certainly diminished. I'm getting my a$$ handed to me on Gears, I'm still having fun though.
