Secret Compass is selling this piece and I just placed my order with them.

They also have several other Imaginarium Art pieces up for preorder on their website.

All of the descriptions for their Iron Man pieces say that. I am sure it's a combination of fiberglass and resin.

Update: I just checked their Facebook page and it says this piece is made of ABS, PVC, Resin and Fiberglass.

No but I am expecting it to be in the ball park of an XM piece.

Realistically anyone living in North America who is buying pieces from companies based in Asia is going to pay high shipping fees whether they buy through a North American retailer or from an Asian supplier unless they happen to find someone who is shipping by boat which is rare.

Yes, shipping fee is killing
It happens to Asia collectors who order exclusive ver from sideshow, PCS, Iron Studio; and authorised in US only market company such as Gentle Giant. We need to pay almost 2X price for them shipped + tax

Indeed. Now North American collectors are feeling some of that pain with XM and now Imaginarium Art.

It would help if secretcompass wasn't so lousy with communication. They never respond to my emails. I think it's shady for them to ask for a deposit on these items and not say a word about shipping costs

My guess is he doesn't have an accurate cost for shipping yet but I don't see why he couldn't list a price range based on what he is being charged on shipping for XM pieces.

As far as emailing him goes, make sure you are sending you emails to sales@secretcompassonline.com. Shane has always been very responsive to my emails so maybe you are using a bad email address.
