I voted open simply because I personally prefer it aesthetically. But lets be honest, It's going to look pretty damn cool whichever configuration they go with.
If it were possible to add some kind of reliable mechanism to let them move about though, that would be a win win situation.

I voted open so they are both pissed off and match. 
And yes I voted because these will be in my collection as well. Why have a company if you can't make the things you want.

That's my reasoning as well for voting for open.
It has to be a great feeling to display something in your own home that you crafted yourself. Especially something as special as these masks. Congrats Paul!
