I am the organizer, liaison and spokesman for my neighborhood association. It was not by choice, but I was the railroaded into the position by the other members. It was because I am the only young guy in the neighborhood that is a businessmen, well spoken and understand how to go about the proper protocols. My neighborhood is made up of old families, widowers and single mothers all from the blue collar level.

I often have to go and speak in front of the City Council and in city court for things that need to get done! Tedious at times though!

Anyway, I am proud to represent these good people and help anyway I can! And do often!

I do pro bono radio spots for Habitat for Humanity, and I've hosted a beer booth at a Blues & Brews festival for them, also.

I've also worked on one of their house-building sites... really a rewarding experience.

Best community service 'everyone' can do is to get their first aid qualification and become an organ donor. Even those of us that are critically 'time poor' can do that much.

Cool . . . I'm doing my Senior First Aid renewal tomorrow. OK, I have to give up my Saturday to do it, but I will reward myself with a Saturday night session of Pirahna 3D

Sounds like a well deserved reward!

As for being an organ donor, I am not a donor to save the community from my contaminate organs that I have been abusing all my life. Especially the liver, from all those late nights out at the pub!
