Is this true? Yamato uses cheap resin?

My Lutz Malefic is still perfect. I don't see a difference between that statue and my other sideshow statues in quality.

Sorry, a little bit of hyperbole in there! I don't know if my woes are due to poor materials or poor design, essentially, the cloak on my Lutz has disintegrated (over time) and has left horrible stains on the statue itself! It was stored in a good place as well, no extraordinary heat and not in direct sunlight.....

Part of my post is due to "hard cheese" on my part, but also a general frustration with "Polystone" statues. I just see them, more and more, like over priced compromise's when compared to other, similar, medium and materials......such as PVC.

It really busted my ass to have to retire Lutz.

Trust me, I would never, NEVER EVER, use Sideshow products as a bench mark for quality....

That would be like using ISIS as a bench mark for peace.

Actually, yes this is true. I only had two yamato statues that use resin and they feel really light and cheap. Unlike companies like Sideshow, one drop will cause these pieces to easily break and their resin statues are often designed with poor assembly. On ebay I noticed a lot of broken yamato statues over the years especially the Luz Malefic statue. If anybody tells you otherwise they are lying.

If you don't mind the cheap resin, try getting pieces that have virtually no assembly to minimize breakage.

I have Black Tinkerbell in resin and no problems so far.
Love to see the new Luis Royo "Dark Elf" finished.
