Hmm yeah and Secret Compass isn't big either.
Never had problems with Specfiction but Secret Compass sometimes walks the line. All the more reason to stay safe with Sideshow for such an expensive and risky piece.

Same here. I'm guessing shipping will be around 100
dollars,plus my state tax around 80 dollars so looking
at close to 1675 dollars.

A lot of money for this but it's probably such a spectacular
piece that maybe I'll find it money well spent.

Maybe but in the past I always thought Sideshow's shipping prices were very competitive. Sometimes free.

But with things like this piece I feel much safer with Sideshow. If something comes broken I know at worst Sideshow will do an easy no hassle refund where as smaller shops may not be as able or as inclined.

Sideshow only does free shipping on the crap they can't get rid of any other way. So, stuff that sits in their warehouse for years, they will throw free shipping on it to help it move. But a brand new PO item like this will not have free shipping, guaranteed.

I just got a quote on their site yesterday for the 1/5 Asajj Ventress Mythos piece and it was over $50. A huge 1/3 scale piece like this (most likely in multiple boxes) isn't going to be cheap.

I think their is value in certainty when budgeting too.

If I know exactly what it will be makes it easier. I've had 1:3 pieces cost $50-$150 to ship so can be a shock if it is on high end.

No one here is complaining, we're discussing the various options people have to try and save the most, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's human nature to want to try and get the best deal a person can get.
