I dare not tell anyone what I pay for these things because I know myself that they are all over-priced. But it's the only way to own them.

Agreed. Non-collectors would never understand.

Doesn't really matter to someone like me, I want it, if I can afford it I'll buy it and I don't care how many are left, sitting, in hand, whatever.

I know plenty a collector that has refrained from buying a SS statue simply because the ES is too high. ES doesn't mean everything...true...but let's be honest, the majority stay in the statue game because we are fortunate to be in a hobby where the majority of statue can get you back most of money spent...and in select cases...get you a HUGE profit.
My collection of statues is mainly me buying what I like...but I would be out of this hobby if the older statues didn't help me get some of the newer pieces coming out. Only so much space as well.
OUT WITH THE OLD...IN WITH THE NEW!! It also keeps my collection fresh and in constant flux. I try to keep or hold on to only my most favorites for as long as possible...or as is the case with Darkness...indefinitely.

Yeah but with me I don't expect to make a profit when I sell. I admit it's nice if i do, but if it goes for right around what I paid plus or minus I'm good and then use that to buy what I want/need to fill my collection.

I don't know how that means anything, 1500 for the EX is about average right now with all the populr characters that aren't Batman/JLA or upper echelon Marvel.

I have some rewards but I'm debating to use them elsewhere. I still need Croc, but I wasn't crazy about his EX so I can always wait and get a Reg. on him.

I showed my coworker this statue and he said it looked awesome but he guessed it was going to be pretty expensive. I asked him how expensive he thought it was going to be and he replied, "Probably like $125...maybe even $150!" Lol I told him how much it was and the look on his face was priceless. Reasonable to some may not be reasonable to others. That's why I don't mention this hobby to others and how much these statues cost. The average person would call us crazy for spending this much.
