Will PS3 play regular DVD's and CD's?

It will have a Blu-ray drive so it should be able to play Blu-ray DVDs, regular DVDs and CDs. That is, of course, if they ever actually make any.

A format for music files that is superior to MP3 for sound quality and what audiophiles like to use when downloading/exchanging music files across the Internet. I doubt the PS3 will support it, but I thought it worth asking.
