This is just plain lack of imagination and disrespect to Troy and Avi's work/design. Thanks Erick for pointing this out.

But probably way cheaper and actually available to them...

Not speaking for those people but when cornered by money and availability they result to extreme measures...

This guy has enough talent not to be doing this. I wonder if someone commissioned him to copy these pieces?

yupp. in PF, he's promoting the sculptor who probably has no idea that he's copying and could probably care less. they're being done in a very low income community (easy to see from the pics), meaning the commissioner found a diamond in the rough (sculptor) and exploited the crap out of him. he's probably getting 1/4 or less of total payment. welcome to the third world!

It was most likely a member here who approached both parties to see if it were being produced and were told they are one of a kind so they went elsewhere to have someone else copy them. This person is even more guilty IMO.

In fairness -----s have not been squeaky clean. Recasting Sideshow and Bowen product was a disgrace. There is no doubt these guys are talented and as you say they are living in poverty and this is a way for them to make a living but if they want to be taken seriously by the likes of Bowen and Sideshow they need to clean up their act. Some of them are good enough to work for both of these companies and others.
