It's a lot darker than I expected it to be, but it looks a lot better painted than the regular version was (my regular had one of the poorest factory paint ups I've seen in years, unfortunately), and any imperfections in the paint on this pretty much disappear into the overall bronze effect anyhow.

Hmmm, I might have to grab one of these myself after all. I was hesitant to do so after being so disappointed with the quality of the regular release, but I've always liked the sculpt, and that paint up looks miles better from what I can see.

Anyway, congrats, and thanks for sharing with the pics.

I actually like the color better than what was shown in the original pics. I think Nidg's pics are underexposed, and would probably look better with light falling directly on the piece. You almost can't see his face.

I actually agree, I prefer it to be a bit darker, it works better as a faux bronze for a character who was 'bronze of skin' to begin with. I was just surprised by the degree of colour difference is all...at least if the pics themselves aren't misleading in some way.

It's definitely darker than the original pics but I so like it. And CF is right, my pics are a little dark. Was late afternoon when I took them and didn't want to use the flash. I'll post a few in better light if I get the chance.

Thanks for the updated pics, looks good pal.

Although now I'll probably be spending more money that I hadn't planned on, so maybe I should be thanking you after all...
