What's the point if it turns out to be the same size as the HCG or Palisades version?...I hope it's twice as big.

ooooo. Nice.

I was planning to be done with SS for a while, but this and Spider-man definitely have my interest piqued.

Good thing none of these will actual show up this year.

Haha I'm a big fan of Alien, but to me, this reminds of the Hidden Pictures section in those old Highlights books for kids.

Anywho, as someone else said, it's a must for fans who collect items from the franchise

Hmm, when I watched Prometheus, I was certain that the "Space Jockeys" in that were smaller than the original concept in Alien. This seems to confirm it. Does anyone know what "fluff" was used to explain that?

There is no official explanation so far. Lots of possibilities. Maybe the Space Jockey is some kind of Andre the Giant Engineer, maybe he's not even an Engineer but something else inside a similar suit.
As for anything Prometheus related, best thing is to pretend that the movie is not related with the Alien serie.

I wonder about the size of this one. That telescope thing is tricky, adds a lot of horizontal and vertical space. Hopefully Sideshow doesn't half ass this one as they did with the Engineer direction, which is double bad since the final piece came out with a great paint app and pretty much identical to prototype.

Well technically it isn't that much smaller, Scott used Children in flight suits to give the impression it is larger than it actually was. But you are right, the Prometheus version did seem smaller and is more streamlined, no explanation has been given so far but presumably they are just different models or generations. Or just think of it as a convenience given that these Prometheus Engineers actually have to walk and talk. Some people really didn't like the Prometheus Engineers, I did...

I am really excited about this announcement. I am really hoping this is a good size and not similar to the Palisades one that was put out a while back.
