Yeah I think it’s cool and makes sense. The base represents 2 very important elements, the Batcave and a smoke bomb. Both obviously synonymous with Batman.

Could be a smoke bomb. Or it might be Joker’s gas, Scarecrow’s Fear Toxin or even just a cloud to simulate it’s a part of Batman’s tourtured psyche.
