Back to the the best character in the game, I hope they put some more buffs for gouken in as they've barely touched him would be nice to see the old man reach the potential of his status!

ya he is to big, can't even see his life bar.
gouken with double ultra will be damn good. he seems like one of those chars with two at the same time can keep people at bay.

But can't count out the 3S chars, they are still damn good with a lot of practice. Just that capcom didn't balance it correctly when AE came out and then 2013 was just a semi fix.
With ultra and reading what they been changing seems to me its going to be the best balanced game yet. They are taking into consideration what low tiers are struggling with and how the high tiers are owning.
Jut pray with these loc tests people play to test and give feedback and not just go there to play and win and have fun.

Balance is great and all, but too much balance makes a fighting game stale, and that's my main gripe with the game I think. It's too by the numbers that so many characters now fall into such similar play styles. 3S had it's big 3, but the mid tier bracket was huge and they all played so differently from one another. Seeing that stripped away is just so disheartening to fan like myself of characters like Makoto and Dudley.

For me if the game is balanced its not gonna be stale, with any char coming out top.
Games that are so under balanced and only seeing top 3 over and over again is stale.
For instance when Vanilla came out it was endless Sagats cause he was top, no one could touch him. Super was fun many were viable to play with.
AE hit and Yun was the new sagat, endless Yun matches and game got stale. AE 2013 hit and the game was fun again, even tho there is a top 3, many chars were viable again.

Vanilla was just bad. Rufus ( ridicules amount of damage), Zangief (he could lariat all day, Ryu, Fei (had infinite), sagat so much uneven things with that version.
Super was interesting closely balanced. It needed some adjustments.
AE was pretty much Hong Kong edition with the twins and fei being top characters. It was half-assed and it nearly killed the game. People were dropping it.
AE 2012 did fix the problems but there were still things that needed to be adjusted.
This new game I don't know how to feel. I'm excited but worried also.
