since they are charging full size price for a large base there are lots o thigs they could have done to make these nicer. the supes people should have had purple bases for one

Sure it does. Red+Blue=purple.
Superman's costume has blue legs. There should have been a small amount of blue/purple worked into the gradient of the base.

Ikea has LED lights that are pretty flat and disc shaped - we used those for the displayed Dynamics statues at the comic shop I work at. Some don't quite fit under the statues, some do. We used an acrylic riser and attached the lights below.
I wish Hal's hair was sculpted differently- but awesome statue nonetheless...
