I doubt DC Direct will sell the internals. The JLA Trophy Room Power Battery does not have a blub. It has 5 or 6 led's on each side of a post. Led's are not really that change able unless can you can solder.
Mine came in and would not light up so I took it apart and found a wire broken from the switch. According to Diamond Comics Distributors this is a pretty big issue. I was sent a notice from them that a number of people who order these had poor paint, non-functioning units.

The paint on mine is fine and it works ok . I just wanted the replacement bulb in case it burns out but if it is led then it should last longer. Right ? I wish it was brighter but pefection is elusive.

How about after 10 years? What if it doesn't work anymore? How will it get replaced then?

I would try to find something that would be replaceable in case something goes wrong. You never know if ten years from now, a certain lmodel lightbuld or LED light can become obsolete. Better to have extras now sitting around then not to be able to find any in the future.

I got this from my LCS a couple of weeks ago and i've been meaning to display it. I'm a bit worried about the possibility of oxidation and rusting. Is there any application I can use to "rust proof" the battery or at least temper the effects of oxidation or should I just leave well enough alone and just let nature take its course? Any suggestion you may offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If it is constructed of aluminum or stainless steel oxidation shouldn't be a problem. If it is made of carbon steel then I guess it could. Did your Battery have the extra led's packed inside ?
