I assumed the head was separate going by your post, but when I opened mine today, I could see it was all one piece, so that's very surprising to hear. Where was it chipped on his head?

The head was on the body but at like a 45 degree angle so it was bouncing around inside the head slot of the statue. I'll post some pictures tonight.. Ideally they should of shipped the portrait in another slot in the box to secure it, the way it is now it can wiggle it's way out of the body during shipping and then get chipped...
The bright side is the chips are low enough on his neck so you really can't see them when you put the head on the statue unless you really get up close and look under his chin, then it's just barely noticeable.

the head comes off? I'm pretty sure mine is secured (meaning can't be removed at all). Yours seems to have been broken, not just chipped.

Ok cool, I'm just going to re-glue his head back in... None of the chips are visable once the head is seated properly..
