Geek parents unite!!

I'm so happy to see these posts because that's me in a nutshell!

Luckily my son is 8 now and beginning to become interested in movies so he can tag along to the theater for some stuff. It's easier to get a babysitter for one than for two.

We're going to see this tomorrow afternoon.

Since my kids are old enough, we go to these types of movies as a family. In fact for every Marvel Studios movie, we all go on opening night. They are excited about this one.

I hear ya. It was hard when my daughter was little. But now, she is almost 15 and it is no longer an issue. We usually bring her cousins (who are of the same age) and some of her friends. We enjoy this type of movies as a family.

I have a simple solution. I go to movies once my 3yr old has gone to bed, so 9pm showings or later. Only drawback is I haven't seen a movie with my wife in over two years.

This is exactly what I've had to resort to for the past several years. She's cool with it since I end up buying most of the movies on Blu-ray anyway, but I do miss our movie date nights. Thankfully we got someone to take care of the kids tomorrow and we'll get to see this one together.

Count me in that group, my wife and I haven't seen a movie together in some time. We both enjoy going to the movies, so we usually go separately to get around the lack of baby sitters.

Lol, myself and a pair of other movie goers chased off a super annoying little girl and her Mom. I was in a good position to pontificate as my little girls are better trained than Pratts raptors and their demeanor enhanced the shame

Freaking loved the film! Lots of sequel set ups but it really delivered that perfect balance between park environment of JP1 and the dino showcasing I loved in 2&3.

Well done.

One thing I can say; I have never been a fan of 3D. But in the case of this movie it was quite remarkable except of a few instances that were far between. I rarely do this, but I will probably watch it again at the theather.
